In accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act, 1997. The rent must be paid up to the date of vacating and under the Act it states that : A tenant under a tenancy agreement shall not refuse to pay rent on the grounds that they intend to regard as rent by them the security deposit or any part of the security deposit paid by them in respect of the premises.

You MUST provide this office with the following on the day of vacating:

• As your security deposit is held with the RTBA, it is mandatory to complete a bond claim form for the return of the security deposit.
• Forwarding address and current telephone numbers.
• Carpet cleaning receipt.
• Keys & any remote controls
